Reporting to the Director, Quality Assurance, the Senior QA Engineer will join a squad (engineers and a product manager) that owns core identity and account systems powering the product, ensuring users can securely access and move through the platform. You’ll bring technical expertise, a leadership mindset, and a commitment to continuous improvement to drive quality engineering through scalable test automation and API validation. You will own quality for the squad’s work, develop a deep understanding of the surface area to advocate for customers, and evolve critical automation infrastructure, with particular focus on our Playwright-based testing framework.
As a Senior QA Engineer, you will work independently on business-critical projects and lead QA efforts for complex, high-stakes initiatives. This squad’s systems sit upstream of login, access, and data sync for every user on the platform, so reliability here has outsized impact. Your contributions are measurable at the company level: faster and more reliable delivery cycles, earlier defect detection, fewer production regressions, and greater confidence in release quality. Whether through advancing automation coverage, refining test strategy, or scaling tooling, your work helps teams ship with greater speed and fewer surprises.
The preferred candidate will be within commutable distance of our NYC HQ and spend at least one day in the office weekly. Candidates based in the Eastern time zone may also be considered.

This Senior Software Application Developer/Architect position supports the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in the area of Support Services. We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Post-Booking team, someone who doesn’t just build, but raises the quality bar across our entire ecosystem. You’ll be instrumental in shaping the consumer experience following the initial booking process.

The base pay range for this position is $180,000 - $192,075. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for assisting and performing warranty repairs and the commissioning of SMA utility inverters in the field. The Field Service Engineer is responsible for assisting with commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and learning to analyze data, operation and maintenance activity, and utility inverter applications.
This position is based in the Indio, CA area and covers the Western region. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Indio, CA, or be willing to relocate there. We currently have 1 opening for this role.
PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assists with commissioning, troubleshoots, repairs, and analyzes SMA America’s utility inverters in the field, via email, telephone, and site visits.
• Develops a detailed knowledge of SMA’s utility inverter products, associated SMA accessories, and third-party accessories sold by SMA for use with the inverters.
• Maintains an accurate inventory count of spare parts provided by SMA.
• Works regularly with high voltage DC electricity, three phase power, and the relevant software and firmware of the inverters.
• Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction while striving to lower the costs of field service.
• Assists with, performs, and maintains maintenance activities in accordance with the SMA product maintenance manual on assigned sites with SMA customer contractual obligations.
• Other duties as may be required or assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• A bachelor’s degree in a technical field is strongly preferred, or equivalent experience working in the renewables industry.
• At least 3 years of experience in electrical, electronic, and/or network communications.
• Residence within a reasonable commuting distance of Indio, CA, or willingness to relocate.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Prior experience in the renewable energy industry.
• Knowledge of solar and/or alternative energy markets.

You’ll be the founding backend engineer on a new Growth team - a cross-functional squad owning the full customer funnel, from a parent first considering Nanit through purchase, subscription, engagement, and eventually referring to us or buying again. Own the backend behind growth bets. Build and ship the services powering paywalls, subscription tiering, onboarding journeys, in-app messaging, referral mechanics, trial models, and checkout bundling.
Make growth measurable. Build and extend the experimentation and instrumentation layer - feature flags, experiment assignment, event tracking - so every bet the team makes can be evaluated on real data rather than opinion.
Work end to end across the funnel. Move between acquisition, activation, and retention work as the roadmap demands, rather than owning a single narrow surface.
Partner tightly with mobile and product. Most of what you build is consumed by our iOS and Android apps. You’ll design API contracts in conversation with the engineers using them and with the PMs shaping the experiments.
Operate with high agency. Take ambiguous problems, decide on an approach, communicate it clearly in writing, and ship. Escalate deliberately, not by default.
Set the pattern for US engineering at Nanit. How you work - documentation, async communication, on-call, review habits - becomes the template for everyone who follows.
Anchor on-call coverage in your time zone. Be first responder for production alerts during your working hours, extending the backend group toward true follow-the-sun coverage. Triage, mitigate, escalate what you can’t, and hand off open threads in writing.
Contribute to the backend guild. Help drive best practices, guidelines, and standards across R&D, and keep the US perspective represented in them.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this roleat  the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on manyfactors  including  geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. At Taskrabbit, our approach to compensation is designed to be competitive, transparent, and equitable. Total compensation consists of base pay + bonus + benefits + perks.
The base pay range for this position is $180,000 - $192,075. This range is representative of base pay only, and does not include any other total cash compensation amounts, such as company bonus or benefits. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above and will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, geography, and level.
